Learn the basics. Make what you want.
This 5-week course is a relaxed, beginner-friendly introduction to pottery. Each week, you’ll get a 2-hour session to learn at your own pace and work on the projects you’re interested in, whether that’s a mug, bowl, planter, or something more creative.
You’ll have the chance to try out different techniques, including throwing on the wheel, hand building, and glazing your own finished pieces. There’s no set structure — just guidance and support to help you learn the skills you’re most interested in. As the weeks go on we will tailor the sessions to suit you.
What’s included:
🟤 5 x weekly sessions, 2 hours each
🟤 All materials, tools, and firings of your work
🟤 One-on-one support as you go
🟤 Try wheel throwing, hand building, and glazing
🟤 A relaxed, welcoming home studio environment
This course is designed for novice and beginners – so no experience needed.
If you’ve been wanting to try pottery, this is a great place to start.
1-2-1 sessions are £300 for the 5 weeks, if you can bring a friend with you and commit to the course as a pair, this comes to £450 for the two of you.
There are no fixed dates or times for this course, we’ll schedule each session in a way that works best for you. Whether you'd prefer to set a regular weekly time or choose dates week by week, the flexibility is all part of the benefit of a private course. It’s designed to fit around your life, not the other way around.
Please note: Throwing on the wheel is not suitable for people with pacemakers, please consult your doctor before using the wheel.
Good to know: These sessions can get messy, despite wearing an apron! I recommend wearing clothes and shoes you don't mind getting a little messy.
